Coming closer to the release date of the new Honda VFR 1200, we were able to held more shocking news about the performance that will not be as we were expecting. In the beginning there were rumors, that the bike will have around 200 bhp. In fact the engine design aimed to the top performance sector with a V4 v-tec with lots of electronics and a dual clutch gearbox. But with regret we have to inform you that things are not going this way anymore.The new Honda VFR 1200 will produce around 160 bhp. This is 4bhp less than the first »carbureted« and just 8bhp more than the new Honda CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird used to have. But on the other hand its 51bhp more that the last edition of the VFR 800 has. From this information we can suppose that Honda was trying more to renew the VFR range than to fill up the missing and adored CBR 1100 XX.
