A leader of the VFR1200F project was the same man that also projected the now legendary CBR 1100 XX. Honda’s management orders were exact – make another legend, but even better than the CBR 1100 XX was.

To make this first test a little bit different, we will start with the price that is set a little bit high in our opinion. Around 15.000 UDS in the States and around 15.500 EUR in Middle Europe is the price that “Tokyo” believes is the right one for the brand new beast.

The new VFR1200F will come to our dealers on January 2010. As with the DN-01, the buyer will agree to purchase the VFR with the dealer, only then will order the bike to Honda, from which the customer will then be contacted periodically in order to assess the degree of satisfaction. The newcomer, however, will enjoy the exclusive premium treatment, that will include the warranty extended to 3 years,  the free road recovery in case of failure. The service period will be extended to once a year or every 12,000 kilometers (after the first one, at 1,000).

While the VFR 1200 F is making new standards in the era of sports-tourung biking and most of us are oriented into the technical specifications, engine details, chassis, design and how is it to drive, Honda was working so hard and already released the Honda Genuine Accessories for the VFR1200F.

It's been one of the most awaited bikes in the last few years. It was said that it will offer outstanding performance and a like never before driving experience.
It was said that it will be the replacement for both VFR800 and the Blackbird.

The engine will perform 174bhp and 130 Nm of torque. With these specifications the engine platform will sure find place also in sportier as touring oriented and heavy off-road models.

The Final name for the sport touring model will be VFR1200F while for the sport touring model (Pan-European replacement) will be VFR1200T.The next gen Varadero replacement name should be VFR1200X.

Coming closer to the release date of the new Honda VFR 1200, we were able to held more shocking news about the performance that will not be as we were expecting.

As we are getting closer and closer to the debut day of the new Honda VFR1200, we have find out the pictures of the final version of this bike.

Honda has chosen the Italian alps, to take the presentation photos of the one of the most strategically advertised bike of the last years.

Unfortunately, Honda's photographers weren't the only one owning a camera at that time, and because of this we are able to to show you the final pictures of one of the most attended bikes from Honda motorcycles factory.

Honda has released a video featuring lots of engine detail of  the new Honda VFR1200.

Basing on the information that are avaible about the new Honda VFR 1200 will feature a fully automatic clutch transmission. As the dual clutch automatic gearbox is going to be mounted as stock on all VFR 1200, Honda is going to be the first manufacturer that will feature the dual clutch transmission on a big sports tourer.

As it can be seen from the video, the new transmission provides a very rapid and smooth gear changes while giving a fully motorcycle riding enjoyment.

There are some rumors about that the VFR1200 engines will came along with a double-clutch hi-tech gearbox too.

The gearbox will have three different working modes: Manual, Normal (Drive) and a Sport program too.

Manual mode will allow the driver to have full control, but it will use double clutch to anticipate which gear is coming next, to get a smooth performance.
