The Honda V4 concept was presented at the Cologne Motorshow in October of 2008. As the bike looked like a radical concept many questions were made about what does that all mean.

Honda climed that the concept bike was a result of many years of research. To show the world, what is Honda able to build and what is the design concept that is Honda going to follow with the new models. If you take a closer look, technically there isn't much here that's real. Honda is obviously feverishly working on a new V4 engine and that will soon show up in a production bike. Rumor has it that the Japanese company is taking another look at oval pistons, which would allow for more valves and larger combustion chambers. Could be this the new engine scheme for the replacement of the VFR 800 Interceptor and CBR 1100 XX Blackbird?
